Epidural Steroid Injections: Steroid medicine is injected around the spinal sac or nerve sheath to decrease inflammation, a contributor to pain.

Facet Joint Blocks: Steroid is injected into the bony joints between the vertebra to treat arthristis.

Nerve Root Blocks: Anesthetic and steroid are injected around a specific nerve to block pain.

Joint Injections: Hip, shoulder, and sacroiliac and other injections place the steroid into the specific joint to reduce pain and inflammation.

Radiofrequency Rhizhotomy: If pain is coming from a facet joint, a heat probe can burn the nerves to that joint to provide longer pain relief.

Kyphoplasty/Vertebroplasty: Osteoporosis spine fractures can be treated without surgery to relieve the severe pain and prevent further collapse of the injured vertebra.
